DESCRIPTION:In June\, RCTC and Caltrans activated the I-15 Smart Freeway Pilot. \nIt’s the first system of its kind in the state. Along eight miles of northbound I-15 between the San Diego County line and the I-15/I-215 interchange\, coordinated ramp meters at Temecula Parkway\, Rancho California Road\, and Winchester Road now adjust in real time to freeway conditions\, with variable speed advisories posted on overhead signs.
